The White Sands Test Facility is not open to the general public. Employees can petition the WSTF Security Officer to admit immediate family, business associates, and foreign national visitors on official business. Immediate family members must be United States citizens, as resident aliens are not eligible to tour the test facility.
Unofficial Visitor Rules
- Must be of immediate family
- Must be six years of age and
- Must be escorted at all times
- Only four family members may be admitted at one time
- Primary work location only, unless the employee wants to show the visitors around to other areas, then the request must specifically be approved by a supervisor or manager/office chief in the other areas to be visited.
- Visitors cannot stay more than two hours
- Pets will not be admitted
- Photography is permitted within the WSTF fence line
Foreign national visitors on official business must be cleared through a separate process and coordinated through the International Visit Control Office at Johnson Space Center.
