Extended Temporary Duty (Ext TDY) Assistance Now Available

The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) offers assistance to NASA employees preparing to take an Extended TDY trip to ensure the traveler understands the regulations and policies regarding Extended TDY. This assistance provides a review of allowable expenses, assistance in submitting travel vouchers, and answering questions about travel. Employees anticipating an Extended TDY assignment are highly encouraged to contact the NSSC for information on regulations and entitlements for reimbursement prior to the completion of the Travel Authorization.

An on-line learning module for employees and travel preparers is available though SATERN and can be viewed by entering “Ext TDY” in the search block and the learning module will load.
The traveler or travel preparer should complete the on-line Extended TDY questionnaire at http://www.nssc.nasa.gov/customerservice/fm/cto/tdy/references.htm.

Employees should also contact their organizational Human Resources Representative in preparation to travel on an Extended TDY assignment.
For additional information, employees may contact the NSSC Customer Contact Center at 1-877-NSSC-123 (1-877-677-2123) or email at nssc-contactcenter@nasa.gov.
