For NASA employees visiting the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility we ask you follow these instructions.

  • You may obtain security access cards from the front desk located in the lobby of Building 101 or 350. Be sure to tell the receptionist if you need access to completed External Tanks (Zone 1) or just to the office and factory areas (Zone 2).
  • If you have a rental car, you may enter the main gate located next to the Saturn Booster by showing your NASA badge.
  • Alcohol, firearms and cameras, including cell phone cameras, are not allowed on the facility.
  • Any laptop computer that will be utilizing a LAN connection must be checked by IT to insure no viruses are present.
For non-NASA employees visiting the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility we ask you follow these instructions.

  • Foreign nationals must obtain prior authorization to visit the facility by calling (504) 257-5012 or (504) 257-1263 at least 30 days prior to the visit.
