This site provides the essential information, forms, contacts, and checklists that you will need to begin working at KSC. Your orientation starts here and will continue with onsite in-processing, briefings, training, and management receptions. KSC is the starting point for America's human space flights. On July 16, 1969, the eyes of the world were on the coast of Florida as the three astronauts of Apollo 11 began their journey to the Moon. Soon, the world's attention will once again return to Kennedy Space Center as NASA returns to the heavens.

Where We've Been
On July 29, 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed Public Law 85-568 that established the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). T. Keith Glennan was sworn in as the first administrator of NASA on Aug. 19 and on Oct. 1 the new agency began operation with the mission to perform civilian research related to space flight and aeronautics.
